The most important class of the year!
DETAILS: Learn the best practices on how to extract and harvest your honey and get your hives ready for the winter. The class will be in the Wardle Feed bee yard next to the store. It will be hands on, opening up and inspecting our own active, thriving hives (we have already extracted some mint tasting honey that is to die for!)
- Now is the time to do everything possible so your bees can survive the cold winter.
- Whether you are new or experienced, our teacher has been a Colorado beekeeper for years and knows the best tips and tricks to successfully winterize so you get honey again next year.
- Hive collapse and mites are possible, but mistakes are the biggest reason that hives fail during the winter.
- We want your hives to thrive so you do not have to buy another bee package next season.
COST: The class is $30 per couple, kids 15 and under are free with paying adult. EXTRACT YOUR HONEY FOR FREE at the Class!! So, bring your frames and bring jars!
EQUIPMENT: BYOB – Bring your own bee-jacket
